Radiology Technician

Provide technical assistance to the Radiology Department at Campus Health, acting as patient care and diagnostic technician. Includes patient positioning, image capturing, equipment maintenance, data entry into electronic health records, and phlebotomy support during high demand times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with internal staff, patients, and referring providers through e‑mail, phone, and personal communications.
  • Keep equipment clean and in working order, responsible for maintenance and quality control.
  • Attend scheduled meetings, drills, and training.
  • Perform patient positioning for radiographs and digital image capturing.
  • Provide excellent patient care applying anatomy, physiology, and disease knowledge.
  • Act as a liaison between clinicians and radiologists, providing quick and accurate information.
  • Enter data into the electronic health record efficiently.
  • Maintain clean working environment following infectious disease standards; handle and dispose of medical/biological and infectious waste appropriately.
  • Follow radiation safety, OSHA, and Environmental Health and Safety standards.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records software.
  • Skilled in the use of radiology equipment and performing related procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic pathophysiological processes monitored in radiology and how radiologic science is applied.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment for high quality care.
  • Capability to perform specialized orthopedic procedures such as weight bearing lower extremities.
  • Ability or willingness to perform or learn phlebotomy on high volume days.

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • ARRT certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid NC Driver’s License required.
