Role Overview
We are seeking a Radiology Technologist for an orthopedic clinic to produce high-quality imaging studies, support accurate diagnoses, and ensure patient safety and comfort. The role involves maintaining competency in clinical and technical functions, preparing patients, performing exams, reviewing image quality, and adhering to safety protocols. The technologist will also educate patients, operate imaging equipment, and keep detailed records of procedures and patient information.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform imaging exams following department protocols
- Ensure proper patient identification and safety measures
- Review and ensure image quality and accuracy
- Provide patient education and address concerns
- Maintain infection control and sterile techniques
- Operate equipment and information systems effectively
- Document procedures and manage records accurately
- Assist in training colleagues and students
Qualifications & Skills
- ARRT certification and state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of anatomy, imaging evaluation, and equipment operation
- Effective communication, teamwork, and independent work skills
- Physical ability to lift, move patients, and handle equipment
Preferred Experience
1-2 years in radiology and IV certification.
