The Registered Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.
Shift Details: Full-time (36 Hours), Weekend Shift, Friday - Sunday 5am-5:30pm

As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by producing x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures. Perform x-ray procedures using portable machine as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units. Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures. Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone. Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; ensures preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions according to established guidelines. Promote effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate that department/units ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current license/certification in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience
- Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking
