Job Summary
Performs radiographic procedures to patients in accordance with departmental policy. Provides a variety of technical exams that require independent judgement to apply ionized radiation for radiologic diagnoses. Responsible for on‑call procedures when indicated. Must be able to do surgery cases and pain management.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures to patients in accordance with departmental policy.
- Provide a variety of technical exams that require independent judgement to apply ionized radiation for radiologic diagnoses.
- Produce high‑quality images in a safe and efficient manner; send studies to reading station for radiologist review and complete all associated documentation.
- Perform on‑call procedures when indicated; must be able to do surgery cases and pain management.
Special Skills
- Good verbal communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
- Certifications: Current American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Certified Radiology Tech (CRT), CPR.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Minimum six (6) months clinical experience.
