Showing 1 location: McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Radiology Tech for its Carroll office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic general radiology following prescribed safety standards in operating imaging equipment, consult physicians/radiologists as necessary, examine images for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness, perform general radiologic procedures as required, instruct patients regarding procedures. Observe patients for vital signs during examination, follow prescribed safety standards in operating imaging equipment, use radiation protection according to department policy and procedures, select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis, examine radiologic image for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness, deliver diagnostic images to radiologists for reading/interpretation, demonstrate competency in general radiology. This is an as needed position to cover for vacation, sick days, etc. There are no set hours.

Education

• Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Certification/License

• Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Iowa State permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Current BCLS certification.

Days and Hours

• Days: Monday - Friday. Saturday & Sunday.
• Hours: As needed. M-F varying hours 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Saturday and/or Sunday 8 AM - 4 PM.
• Pay Differential: $2.50 per hour pay differential when working Saturday and/or Sunday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, ask for details.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology imaging modalities and demonstrated proficiency in all areas of general x-rays.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
