MRI Technologist
Schedule
12-hour rotating shifts with start times at 6:30 AM.
Assignment Details
Contract length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call time.
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.
- BLS certification (AHA).
- ARRT certification required.
- Experience with GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI scanning, ensuring optimal imaging.
- Screen patients for ferrous metal implants and communicate with patients about procedures.
- Select appropriate pulse sequences and evaluate the quality of scans.
- Send images to PACS, ensuring completeness and accuracy of exams.
- Start intravenous lines for contrast as necessary, monitoring for reactions.
- Assist in training of MRI students and participate in ongoing educational activities.
