Job Opportunity
Position: Interventional Radiology Technician
Shift Details
Shift Type: Day
Schedule: 4x10 Hour Shifts (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Weekend Requirements: On-call only
Call Requirements: Yes (5-7 days per month)
Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (traveler may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted (must have at least 2 years of experience)
• Required Certifications:
  
  • BLS
  • ARRT R
  • Washington State License

Unit Details
The interventional radiology team consists of:

• 2 Interventional Radiologists
• 1 Neuro Interventionalist
• 1-2 Vascular Surgeons
• 1 Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We operate in the operating room, equipped with:

• 3 Single-plane IR rooms
• 1 Biplane room
• 1 Hybrid room
• Procedures are also performed in a radiology room and CT suite

Procedures Performed

• Cerebral angiography including intervention
• Stroke intervention
• Angiography and interventions of all body parts except the heart
• Y90 and chemoembolization
• Cryoablation
• Venography including intervention
• Various biopsies using fluoroscopy, CT, or ultrasound
• Venous access (port, dialysis, central lines)
• Gastrostomy procedures
• Management of various drains (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)

General Skills & Experience
