Overview
CT experience is preferred, but availability to train is acceptable. This role serves as a first-line interface with patients, performing diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (CT, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound, or other special procedures) following department protocols.
- Participate in PI/QC activities and assist in maintaining the performance improvement program.
- Act as a first‑line interface with customers, ensuring their imaging needs are met.
- Oversee the radiology area and staff in the absence of a manager or director.
- Manage department supplies and equipment; schedule work for assigned sub‑departments.
- Process and transmit images to PACS.
Qualifications
- Licensure and a fluoroscopy permit as required by state.
- Effective July 1, 2017—appropriate national certifications in two modalities required.
- Current BCLS (AHA).
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
- One year of acute clinical radiography preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
