Radiologic Technologist – Computed Tomography
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Days: Variable, Friday through Tuesday
Contract Length: 13 weeks, Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT) required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice required
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT required in OR and HI; preferred in CA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification in the state of employment required if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues.
- Performs a variety of imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information.
- Ensures adherence to patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
