Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager of CT, assists the radiologists, technologists and nurses in technical and patient care duties. Maintains supplies and keeps exam rooms prepared and ready for patients. Assists patients prior to procedures. Handles reception and clerical duties as required. Duties may also be required in other areas as necessary at either the E. Newton or Shapiro Campuses. Education
Requires a high school level of knowledge in reading and writing (in English) and arithmetic in order to understand written and oral instructions, and deal effectively with people.
Knowledge and Skills
Requires knowledge of work routines, procedures, materials and equipment in order to prepare rooms for x-ray procedures, perform sterilization duties and stock rooms with supplies. Such knowledge is normally acquired during one to three months of on-the-job training. Requires minimal analytical ability. Requires interpersonal skills and communications skills in order to provide information, reassurance and support to patients in somewhat difficult situations. Preference given to those individuals who have successfully completed medical terminology and basic patient care courses.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $17.93- $21.43 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
