• Setting: On-site diagnostic radiology
• Employment Type: Travel contract

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: Nights, with blocked Friday through Sunday coverage

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care
• ARRT certification and registration required
• Virginia state licensure required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with pediatric emergency care, including fluoroscopy and orthopedics, required
• Operating room and emergency department experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and maintain focus in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures safely and accurately
• Obtain and document patient history and relevant clinical information
• Position and immobilize patients to achieve high-quality images while supporting comfort and safety
• Apply radiation protection principles and follow ALARA standards
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures as needed
• Verify informed consent and complete pre- and post-procedure documentation
• Prepare, identify, and administer medications or contrast as ordered by a licensed practitioner
• Evaluate images for technical quality and document patient dose exposures
• Collaborate professionally with physicians, nurses, technologists, patients, and families
• Support imaging needs across multiple patient populations, including pediatric and adult emergency cases
