- Location: Richmond, VA 23226
- Setting: On-site diagnostic radiology
- Employment Type: Travel contract
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: Nights, with blocked Friday through Sunday coverage
- Start Date: September 7, 2026
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care
- ARRT certification and registration required
- Virginia state licensure required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with pediatric emergency care, including fluoroscopy and orthopedics, required
- Operating room and emergency department experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain focus in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures safely and accurately
- Obtain and document patient history and relevant clinical information
- Position and immobilize patients to achieve high-quality images while supporting comfort and safety
- Apply radiation protection principles and follow ALARA standards
- Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures as needed
- Verify informed consent and complete pre- and post-procedure documentation
- Prepare, identify, and administer medications or contrast as ordered by a licensed practitioner
- Evaluate images for technical quality and document patient dose exposures
- Collaborate professionally with physicians, nurses, technologists, patients, and families
- Support imaging needs across multiple patient populations, including pediatric and adult emergency cases
