Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

This hospital-based position situates you within a well-respected regional medical center. The interventional radiology team is integral to the facility's commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Physicians will handle an average of 8 cases per day, focusing primarily on adult and geriatric populations. The role also involves working on orthopedic, gynecology, and urology cases, enhancing the depth and variety of clinical experience.

Schedule and Assignment Details

Enjoy a balanced schedule with shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Physicians will participate in a Q3 call schedule, covering every third weekday and weekend. The assignment begins on September 1, 2026, with an unknown end date, providing potential for long-term engagement. The facility seeks providers willing to commit to multiple weeks of coverage per month, ensuring continuity of care and professional fulfillment.

Support and Work Environment

Join a supportive and dynamic team environment, featuring a collaborative approach to patient management. The interventional radiology team comprises three experienced physicians and two skilled APPs, alongside dedicated support staff including a manager. On-campus lodging is available if required, and mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate, ensuring logistical ease for locum providers.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Interventional Radiology is mandatory.
  • Active Michigan State Medical License required; compact licenses not accepted.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are essential.
  • Preference for local providers, although consideration is given to those available for extended travel coverage.
  • A clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.
