Job Details: Job Location: Dameron Hospital - Stockton, CA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $ - $ Salary/year, Job Shift: Day, POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages the daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department, including patient services, personnel, scheduling, finance and equipment. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and protocols. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- 1. Meet the clinical needs of physicians, patients and staff. Supports and actively develops a strategy to achieve an integrated service line for diagnostic imaging.
- 2. Manages the daily operations of the department by maintaining appropriate schedules and monitoring performance improvement, safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- 3. Assists in strategic resource planning and develops, implements and oversees department salary, operation and capital budgets.
- 4. Ensures equipment and procedures are safe, functional and capable of meeting the diagnostic needs of the medical staff in a timely manner.
- 5. Develops and monitors payroll and non-payroll budgets for the department, identifies and implements opportunities to reduce costs.
- 6. Manages union leads and staff and resolves human resource, labor relations, employee and department safety issues.
- 7. Demonstrates support of and models Dameron Hospital Association's mission, vision and values and rules of conduct.
- 8. Selects and trains technical and administrative imaging staff. Monitors staff performance and participates with the Director in the development of competencies, performance standards and imaging protocols for the department.
- 9. Develops and implements a plan for equipment procurement, maintenance and replacement. Keeps abreast of new developments in diagnostic imaging technology and makes recommendations on the acquisition and implementation of new technology.
- 10. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CDPH and other regulatory entities.
- 11. Oversee and have applicable various projects completed in a timely manner.
- 12. Represents the department in various committee meetings.
- 13. Performs other job-duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
Minimum Work Experience
- Five years' registered technologist experience: Preferred
- One year's leadership experience: Preferred
Required Licenses
- Certification of Radiologic Technologists (CRT) in state of practice: Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
- Current California State Fluoroscopy license required
- Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
