Position overview
The Radiologic Technologist provides diagnostic imaging services to Native American patients at the Yakama Indian Health Center. Working within a multidisciplinary clinical team, the technologist performs X-ray procedures, maintains equipment, and documents services in the Electronic Health Record in full compliance with HIPAA, radiation safety standards, and IHS clinical protocols.
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures per physician orders
Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiologic imaging equipment
Process and evaluate images for diagnostic quality prior to radiologist review
Document all services accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Apply radiation protection principles and safety protocols at all times
Support patient throughput and coordinate with clinical staff
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, IHS, and Joint Commission standards
Requirements
Required
Active ARRT (R) certification
Washington State radiologic technologist license
Current BLS certification
Ability to pass federal background investigation
Negative drug screen
Preferred
1+ year clinical radiology experience
Experience with PACS and EHR systems
Fluoroscopy or multi-modality experience
Experience in federal, tribal, or IHS settings
