Certifications: A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
Must-Have: Preferred experience with Siemens CT Scanners. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
Description: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. The technologist will greet the patient and explain the examination they are about to undergo. They will position the patient and set the proper exposure factors to obtain the required quality radiograph. The technologist will practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to ensure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure. They will have sufficient knowledge to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively to obtain quality studies. Technologists will report any equipment malfunctions to their immediate supervisor. They will also be responsible for processing films and inputting information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes. This position includes the proper use of imaging equipment and adherence to department procedures and protocols as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide radiologic examinations based on the needs of referring physicians and radiologists.
