Must-Have Skills/Experience:
- Registered CT technologist with a minimum of 1 year
- Experience with stroke and trauma patients
Description:
Performs diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level. Transports patients when needed. Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Maintains a clean, well-groomed appearance consistent with dress code. Understands the importance of the integrity of the archive. Follows established downtime processes when necessary. Performs all post-processing procedures on the workstations. Carries out all necessary functions on the quality control workstation.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Technical skill in medical scanning
- Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and 3-D knowledge
- Proficient computer skills with PACS, HIS/RIS, and workstations
- Knowledge of power injectors and CPR
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of manipulating equipment and evaluating proper exposure factors
- Evaluates images, lifts, moves, and transports patients
- Capable of continual standing and walking
- Adapts to stressful and emergent situations
- Possesses good communication skills
Equipment Used:
- Proficient in the use of CT scanners, power injectors, and computers
General Comments:
This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
