CT/X-Ray Technologist
This position primarily requires expertise in computed tomography, but experience in X-ray is also necessary. Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Initiative is required to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by supervisory personnel or management. Proper care of patients in accordance with departmental and facility policies and procedures is required. May supervise or instruct department personnel as directed by management. Practices infection control in compliance with departmental policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems. Must be able to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications. Completes annual mandatory education, including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Technologist will perform primary diagnostic radiology and CT scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections. Must ensure that scheduling requests are made at the time of submission. Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified prior to submission.
