Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist - Day Shift

The CT Technologist independently performs imaging procedures, utilizing prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes while applying independent judgment and technical expertise in various CT procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Independently perform computed tomography procedures following established scan protocols and administering contrast as required.
  • Utilize complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
  • Demonstrate proper venipuncture techniques and utilize power injector per departmental protocols.
  • Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast based on physician orders and department policy while assessing patient risk factors.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and co-workers, ensuring clarity and understanding of procedures to alleviate patient concerns.
  • Verify patient identity utilizing two patient identifiers and implement universal protocols during procedures.
  • Review patient history and physician orders to ensure optimal data acquisition following departmental protocols.
  • Document patient history in electronic records as necessary and ensure proper coding and tracking of exams.
  • Maintain compliance with system-wide competencies and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Graduate from an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
  • CT registry must be acquired within 18 months from the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire if the primary registry is already obtained.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
  • ARRT certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.
  • Compliance with PA Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.
Schedule

This position operates on a Day Shift schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
