Cat Scan Technologist
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Holidays required.
Job Description
The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures and maintain workflow in a busy environment.
• Review and document patient clinical history and contrast questionnaire in EPIC.
• Identify and/or administer contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Verify the appropriateness of CT exam prescriptions with Radiologists and Referring Physicians.
• Ensure insurance authorization and modifications as needed.
• Obtain outside studies and manage their integration into PACS and EPIC.
• Evaluate radiographs ensuring proper identification and diagnostic value.
• Prepare patients for scanning, including necessary shielding and immobilization.
• Perform venipuncture and monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the exam process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of experience in CT; 5 years preferred.
• Experience with GE Equipment, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS is required.
• Must be willing to work in dual modalities (Xray & CT).

Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
