Job Description
CT Technologist
Shift Information
Friday to Sunday, with 2-3 call shifts per month.
Facility Overview
Located in Puyallup, WA, this facility operates as a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds.
General Information

• Imaging Rooms: 3 CT Suites
• Covid vaccine required
• Candidates accepted with a minimum of 1 year of experience, particularly in large Level 3+ facilities.
• First-time travelers are welcome if they have broad experience in relevant settings.

Patient Demographics
This position primarily involves a high volume of patients, particularly during the night shift.

• Day Shift: General, diagnostic, interventional, assisting with procedures, ER, and critical cases.
• Evening/Night Shift: 90% ER and ICU patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac CT experience preferred
• Manager prefers candidates who have not solely worked in critical access environments.

Licensure and Certifications Required

• BLS Certification
• ARRT CT Registration
• Washington State License

Skills Required

• Experience with the types of cases outlined above.
• Must have acute care experience.

Support Available on the Unit
The CT unit has robust support including:

• Lead CT Tech
• Respiratory Therapy
• Hospitalist Services
• Radiologist: Availability of IR MD and PA for case assistance during the day; off-site at night.
• Transporter available for CT transportation, except from 4 am-9 am.
• Up to 5 CT Techs available during business hours; reduced staff after 5 pm.

Technology and Equipment

• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pumps: Alaris (typical adjustments not required)
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis; Nitro may be administered prior to cardiac cases.
• Injector: MedRad
• PACS: Change Healthcare
• CT Equipment: Siemens, Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64 (interventional CT), Definition Edge 128 in ER.

Orientation and Scheduling

• 1 week of orientation in the department, with potential for extension if necessary.
• Fixed weekend rotation with jobs posted for every weekend.
• Strict night shifts are required, mainly 12-hour shifts with 4 days off weekly.
• Holiday expectations are every other holiday.
• Requests for time off must be approved through the manager.
