Cath Lab Tech
Cath Lab Tech for interventional radiology and invasive cardiology procedures. Responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures. Must be available for on-call duty one day per week and every third weekend in rotation. Required skills include adult IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience with left heart catheterizations, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) is necessary. Additional procedure competencies include percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and permanent pacemaker insertion. Must maintain equipment and manage inventory as well as stock supplies. Proficiency in various angiographic procedures is required. Must practice sterile technique and maintain a sterile field during procedures. Candidate will participate in supporting other clinical staff as necessary. Daily responsibilities will include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, and prep of access sites. Recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias is crucial in this role. Candidates will float within the hospital based on patient census needs. Demonstrated experience with procedural responsibilities and patient care within the cardiac cath lab setting is essential.
