Cardiac Catheterization Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Technologist to join our team. The facility operates with 874 licensed beds and provides Level I Trauma services. We are designated as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. The unit includes 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms. Candidates must have at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience. First-time travelers are welcome. Common patient diagnoses include NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip cases. Vascular cases primarily involve lower extremity angiograms and EVAR and TEVAR procedures. Experience with endografts, EVARs, and TEVARs is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The department supports various teams, including a traffic flow coordinator and a charge nurse. Technology in use includes EMR systems, hemodynamic monitoring, IV pumps, and Philips, GE, and Siemens x-ray equipment. A weekend rotation will be discussed during the interview process. On-call requirements include two weekends of vascular call per month and one call night every week for cardiac cases. Travelers are expected to cover at least one holiday during their contract. The unit culture is described as positive and collaborative. Scrub color is green and will be provided.
