Description: This position is open to first-time travelers. Cath Lab Techs will work in pairs, with one tech scrubbing and one monitoring hemodynamics. Registered Nurses will administer conscious sedation. There may be a fourth person involved in cases, which could be an RN or another tech, depending on the case requirements. A Lead Tech will be responsible for making room assignments. The facility handles STEMI cases and performs a range of interventions including cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology (IR), and neuro interventions. The facility has five suites: two primarily for coronary cases, one for peripheral cases, one for vascular and neuro cases, and one for electrophysiology cases. The average number of cases per day varies from 10 to 22. Techs are required to rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases once a week. Weekend call is required for one weekend per month, typically from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs. The cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of up to four shifts for assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, and three shifts for shorter assignments. Charting is done using a specified electronic health record system.
