Cath Lab Technologist - Day Shift
Location: South Carolina
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 07:00 – 17:30. Flexibility required to work until all procedures are complete.
Job Description: The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. This role requires proficiency in scrubbing and monitoring procedures within the Cath Lab environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assisting in the setup and operation of specialized cardiac equipment.
- Monitoring patient status during procedures and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Participating in on-call duties including one weekend per month and weekly call shifts.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- A minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- ARRT or RCIS certification (registered or in process), along with a South Carolina license is mandatory.
- Experience with a variety of cardiac procedures including coronary interventions and monitoring.
- Radiation badge from the agency is required; MUSC does not provide radiation badges.
