Pre-Authorization CoordinatorUniversity Radiology Group is seeking a Full-time Pre-Authorization Coordinator for our East Brunswick, NJ Business Office.Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMWork with referring physicians to ensure authorizations for a patient's procedure is obtained before their appointmentInform patient of any instructions for the procedure including, but not limited to: Documentation required on the day of the examDiscuss financial responsibilityCollect paymentSet up payment planCommunicate all challenges, potential impact the challenge may have on the department and possible solutions of the problems to the management teamUtilize registration system notes to document important information related to verification, pre-cert, and upfront collection.Follows the University Radiology Guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).Working in high call volume environmentUnderstanding of the Revenue Cycle as a whole and the impact Pre-registration has within the Cycle.Knowledge of CPT/ICD9/ICD10 codes and insurance contracts/reimbursement requiredStrong communications and organizational skillsTeam player who can contribute to providing a professional and positive work environment.Effective at meetings - providing feedback, ideas and suggestions to improve daily work flows1+ years of insurance verification required.University Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more.Pay Range: From $20/hrJoin our growing team!
