RadiologistThe Radiologist provides diagnostic imaging interpretation and consultative services to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role includes the performance and interpretation of imaging studies across multiple modalities and collaboration with referring providers to ensure timely, high-quality, and evidence-based imaging services.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine as credentialedProvide accurate, timely radiology reports to referring cliniciansPerform image-guided procedures within scope of practice, as applicableEnsure appropriate imaging utilization and adherence to clinical guidelinesCollaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare staff to support patient careParticipate in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical consultationsMaintain compliance with quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standardsUtilize PACS and radiology information systems for documentation and reportingParticipate in peer review, quality improvement, and patient safety initiativesSupport teaching, mentoring, or research activities as applicablePractice SettingHospital-based radiology department and/or outpatient imaging centersOn-site or remote (teleradiology) coverage depending on practice modelSchedule and call responsibilities vary by coverage needsPatient PopulationPediatric and adult patientsBroad range of diagnostic and interventional imaging needsQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency programBoard certified or board eligible in Diagnostic RadiologyEligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing stateFellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred but not requiredSkills & CompetenciesStrong diagnostic and analytical skillsProficiency across multiple imaging modalitiesExcellent communication and consultative abilitiesCommitment to accuracy, quality, and patient safetyAbility to work efficiently in a high-volume imaging environmentWork EnvironmentRadiology department and imaging center settingsCollaborative, multidisciplinary care modelFocus on quality, efficiency, and diagnostic excellence
