Job Summary:
The Temporary/Relief Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to established standards and safety protocols. This role ensures accurate imaging results to help healthcare providers diagnose and treat patients while maintaining patient comfort and safety in a correctional healthcare environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT).
- Current BLS Certification from AHA.
- 1 2 years of recent diagnostic radiology experience.
- Knowledge of digital imaging systems (RIS/PACS).
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and process X-ray exams following established procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure patient identification, comfort, and radiation safety (ALARA).
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment and digital systems (RIS/PACS).
- Assist physicians during special and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with facility and state regulations.
- Monitor equipment and supplies, reporting maintenance needs.
- Participate in quality, safety, and training programs as required.
