The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Career Ladder Opportunities:
Radiologic Technologist:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Certification: Obtained ARRT registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Advanced Radiologic Technologist:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor's degree program.
- Certification: ARRT (R); Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- Current Radiologic Technologists who are moving to Advanced Radiologic Technologist title on the career ladder must complete all required Radiologic Technologist competencies.
Senior Radiologic Technologist:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor's degree program.
- Certification: ARRT (R); Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- Current Advanced Radiologic Technologists who are moving to Senior Radiologic Technologist title on the career ladder must complete all required Radiologic AND Advanced Radiologic Technologist competencies.
