General Summary
Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physician.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patient for procedure using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
- Perform routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using fixed and portable imaging equipment.
- Monitor equipment.
- Request supplies.
- Answer phones.
- Minimum typing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with at least 1 year experience.
- State licensure required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Provides excellent patient care while utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures.
Education
- Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
