Onsite Full Time Bio & Pharmacology & Health

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures applying prescribed radiation for diagnostic purposes
  • Perform procedures in at least two assigned diagnostic imaging modalities
  • Explain procedures to patients
  • Position and immobilize patients on the exam table
  • Observe patients during scans
  • Exercise independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative while working independently without direct supervision
  • Apply radiation safety measures and protection devices where radiation is used
  • Ensure patient and staff safety and comply with government regulations
  • Provide age-related care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Interact professionally and communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, and OMC staff

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training
  • Current ARRT registry required
  • At least one additional specialty required: bone density, CT, special procedures, or mammography
  • Washington State License – Radiologic Technologist required
  • Have or be able to obtain and maintain BLS certification
  • Registered and/or certified in a minimum of two diagnostic imaging modalities
  • Two years of radiology experience preferred
  • One year of secondary specialty experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of specialty theory, procedures, safety precautions, and effects
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality procedures in relevant imaging modalities
  • Cross-sectional anatomy experience or knowledge preferred for CT and MRI specialties
  • For mammography: met certification requirements in mammography
  • For mammography: two years of mammography imaging and diagnostic procedures preferred
  • Experience with radiology imaging preferred
  • Experience with electronic patient information systems and/or mammography tracking systems preferred
  • Ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, and OMC staff
  • Knowledge of age-related care needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
