Essential Functions

  • Operate lithotripter safely during treatments, assisting urologists.
  • Operate C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment as needed.
  • Document lithotripsy procedures accurately.
  • Maintain daily logs and perform quality control checks on equipment.
  • Coordinate with urologists on treatment strategies and parameters.
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, reporting to management.
  • Become proficient in anatomy and kidney stone localization via imaging.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification and applicable state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience with C-arm and fluoroscopy required.
  • Shockwave Lithotripsy (SWL) experience preferred.
  • Computer skills desired.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiologic technologist experience preferred.
