RF Software Engineer 3Markon is seeking an RF Software Engineer 3 to support the Fort Meade customer by developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems supporting radio frequency (RF) and mission-critical operations. This role works on processing-intensive analytics, large-scale data processing solutions, real-time systems, and advanced algorithm development efforts focused on RF and signal processing applications. The position contributes to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and sustainment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technical solutions.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDesign, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications and system componentsModify existing software to add new features, improve functionality, and correct defectsIntegrate software into new or existing systems and operating environmentsDevelop and execute software tests to validate compliance with design requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational problemsDevelop data queries for existing or proposed databases and data repositoriesSupport system design activities, including hardware/software trade studies and architecture decisionsEvaluate opportunities for software reuse and implementation of COTS/GOTS solutionsPrepare, review, and maintain software and system documentationProvide recommendations for improving software development processes, standards, and documentationServe as a technical lead consistent with the software development process used on the programSupport requirements analysis and decomposition from system-level requirements to individual software componentsDevelop software solutions supporting RF signal processing, exploitation, and analysis capabilitiesQualifications Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexityFour additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degreeExperience developing software in Linux environmentsExperience programming in Python and C++Experience with software design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment activitiesExperience developing and supporting complex software systems and applicationsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Desired Qualifications Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technologiesExperience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems, signals, collection, or exploitation applicationsExperience supporting SIGINT, communications, or mission-focused analytic systemsFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevSecOps practicesExperience developing software solutions for signal processing, waveform analysis, or communications systemsSalary RangeUSD $225,000.00 - USD $240,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
