The role bridges concept to production, delivering hardware layouts, prototypes, test methods, and supporting manufacturing through the assembly and test phases. The engineer will also develop RF system/subsystem architectures, perform link analysis, manage performance requirements, and contribute to life‑cycle cost, reliability, and maintainability analyses.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Architecture & DesignArchitect and design RF systems and circuitry, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.Develop RF system/subsystem architectures (antennas, transmitters, receivers, LNAs, HPAs, RF conversion elements, transmission line equipment).Circuit & Hardware DevelopmentDesign and develop RF circuitry for high‑frequency and microwave applications.Perform hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and testing.Testing & VerificationPrepare test methods, specifications, and procedures.Analyze and test RF hardware to verify performance characteristics.Identify and track RF technical performance measurements (TPMs).Product Development SupportProvide inputs for formal documentation.Support manufacturing during deliverable assembly and test phases.Link Analysis & OptimizationConduct link analysis, including propagation medium effects and interference sources.Perform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV (Cost, Availability, Interoperability, and Value) analysis.Lifecycle & Reliability AnalysisSupport life‑cycle cost, reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses.Collaboration & CommunicationEngage with senior personnel on significant technical matters.Work under general direction, independently completing tasks with critical‑point reviews.Basic QualificationsActive SECRET security clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.Minimum 3+ years of relevant RF engineering experience.Post‑secondary degree or formal training in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a closely related discipline (BS, MS, or equivalent experience).Radar design experience with performance prediction capabilities.Experience designing low‑frequency RF receiver systems.Proven experience in detailed design and testing of antenna elements.Desired SkillsDemonstrated comprehensive understanding of RF engineering concepts and related disciplines.Strong knowledge of industry standards and company practices.Ability to develop practical solutions for complex engineering problems.Experience working under general direction, setting assignment objectives, and delivering independently.Proven ability to influence overall objectives and long‑range goals, and to engage effectively with senior leadership.Experience with CAIV analysis, life‑cycle cost, reliability, and maintainability assessments.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
