Role Overview:
This role involves administering prescribed radiation treatments to patients, most commonly as part of cancer care, using advanced medical equipment. The radiation therapist works closely with oncologists and the healthcare team to accurately position patients, follow detailed treatment plans, and ensure safety and precision. Compassionate patient support and careful documentation are essential throughout the treatment process.
Requirements:
- Two (2) years of experience required.
- Flu Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
- Certificates Required: ARRT T, BLS
- First time traveler accepted with Varian 21ix and Aria EMR system experience.
- Skills: Adult Acute Care; CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Custom Shield, MRI, PET Scan, Tumor Localization, Beam Modifying/Positioning, Block cutting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Wedges, Calculate dose of radiation, Pinnacle (Philips), Eclipse (Varian), External Beam Therapy, IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, ARIA, Varian 21 ex/ix, Lift/ transfer devices, Isolation Precautions, Radiation Safety, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Simulation of Treatment Sites, CT/iCT

- Day 5x8-Hour (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Day 4x10-Hour (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
