Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
- Conduct patient simulations and radiation treatment planning.
- Monitor patient's physical condition during therapy sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of treatment sessions.
- Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from overexposure to radiation.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment expectations and side effects.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare team members to develop and adjust treatment plans.
