We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join the team at Merit Health Central for an exciting 10-week travel assignment . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Radiation Therapist looking for a consistent daytime schedule , competitive pay, and the chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience, excellent patient-care skills, and hands‑on expertise with Varian radiation therapy equipment and ARIA EMR .
Deliver radiation treatments safely and accurately according to physician‑prescribed treatment plans.
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established protocols.
Utilize Varian equipment and ARIA EMR effectively.
Verify patient identity, treatment plans, positioning, and treatment parameters prior to therapy.
Provide compassionate support and education to patients throughout their treatment.
Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurses, and other members of the oncology team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection‑control standards.
Monitor patients throughout treatment and promptly communicate any concerns or changes in condition.
2+ years of Radiation Therapist experience
ARRT(T) certification required
BLS required
Mississippi State License – may be obtained once the position is offered
Recent experience with Varian equipment
Experience with ARIA EMR
Cerner experience is a plus
Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
Strong clinical, communication, and patient‑care skills
All requirements must be met at the time of submission
