Radiation Therapist (R.T.(T)) – Radiation Oncology
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to deliver safe, accurate, and compassionate radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician-prescribed treatment plans and established departmental standards. The Radiation Therapist will operate radiation therapy equipment, verify treatment parameters, provide patient support, and ensure quality and safety throughout the treatment process.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Location: Gulfport, Mississippi
- Pay range: $34.58–$51.87/hour (based on years of experience).
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; hours may vary based on treatment schedules, including later treatments and warm-up coverage requirements.
- On-call responsibilities as needed.
- Position Type: Full-time.
- Minimal travel required to Biloxi
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments while adhering to radiation safety and quality standards.
- Perform patient setup, positioning, immobilization, treatment verification, and daily treatment checks.
- Review treatment plans, monitor patient status, and communicate effectively with the radiation oncology team.
- Perform CT simulation procedures, imaging, documentation, and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and support department operations.
- Provide patient education and compassionate care throughout the treatment process.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or eligibility.
- Active Mississippi Radiation Therapy license required.
- Minimum 5 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
