Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation treatments according to physician protocols.
- Work closely with oncologists and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and document treatment progress and side effects.
- Operate advanced medical imaging tools, including CT scanners, for treatment planning.
- Educate patients about the radiation therapy process, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Vigilantly monitor patients during procedures for complications or adverse reactions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and regulations regarding radiation exposure.
- Assist in equipment maintenance and perform quality assurance checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Active Washington State license in Radiation Therapy.
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Demonstrated competency with acute care practices and use of medical imaging technology.
- Excellent patient communication, empathy, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to balance meticulous attention to detail with efficiency in a dynamic clinical setting.
