Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatment accurately and safely under the direct supervision of the Radiation Therapist.
  • Monitor and report treatment variances and inconsistencies.
  • Accurately document all treatment delivery information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure safe and accurate use of all aspects of the EMR and Record and Verify system.
  • Possess knowledge of scheduling, treatment, and image review processes.
  • Position, immobilize, and align patients according to the treatment plan; evaluate and assist in resolving set-up issues.
  • Understand the function of all equipment, accessories, treatment methods, policies, procedures, and protocols and apply knowledge appropriately.
  • Participate in and document the Time Out procedure for every treatment verification and daily treatment.
  • Utilize the Quality Assurance (QA) program covering all aspects of treatment, delivery, and quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across all life stages and assess patient data relevant to age-specific needs as per department policies.
  • Understand patient functional mobility assessment tools and mobilize patients using appropriate mechanical assistive devices during care.
  • Demonstrate cooperation and responsiveness to all staff members.
  • Model professional behavior including courtesy, respect, constructive assertiveness, and effective listening.
  • Use professional problem solving and negotiation skills to manage conflict.

  • Are proficient in using electronic medical records and treatment verification systems.
  • Understand patient positioning, immobilization, and treatment plan alignment.
  • Possess knowledge of equipment, treatment methods, policies, and protocols.
  • Can perform quality assurance and document treatment procedures accurately.
  • Have understanding of patient growth stages and mobility assessment.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and effective communication skills.
  • Can manage conflict using problem solving and negotiation skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $31,200.00 - $41,200.00, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and market conditions.
  • For union positions, pay is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
