As a valued member of the radiation oncology department, you will play a vital role in providing advanced therapeutic radiation treatments using the latest radiotherapy technologies and techniques.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Department Manager and supervision of the Lead Radiation Therapist, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic radiation treatments to patients and performing all associated setup, planning, and verification procedures.
The role ensures the accuracy and safety of treatment delivery in alignment with department standards and protocols, while supporting a culture of compassionate, whole-person care.
Education & Certification Requirements
Required Qualifications
Completion of a formal therapeutic radiologic technology training program at an approved institution.
National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification or California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Specialized training in dosimetric techniques and treatment planning physics .
Key Responsibilities
Administer precise and safe radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Set up, calibrate, and verify treatment plans and equipment functionality.
Monitor patients during procedures, assessing comfort, safety, and response to treatment.
Accurately document treatment details and patient data in accordance with departmental policy.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to ensure optimal care outcomes.
Adhere to all quality assurance, safety, and compliance standards in radiation therapy operations.

Base Salary: $109,179 $139,817 (USD)
