GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision administers radiation treatments to patients, as prescribed by the physician, utilizing specialized equipment including
- Linear accelerator,
- High Dose Rate (HDR) After loader,
- Computed Tomography.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
- A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible
- Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS' Customer Service Policy
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
- Lifting of patients, moving & pushing wheelchairs / stretchers and lifting of equipment, above head, up to 50lbs.
- Potential exposure to radiation; however, adherence to safety procedures minimizes likelihood of danger.
- Frequent interaction with emotionally depressed and terminally/critically ill patients. Additional Information
