Key Responsibilities
- Treatment Administration: Deliver precise therapeutic radiation treatments strictly adhering to physician prescriptions, treatment plans, and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance & Safety: Perform daily machine warm-ups, quality control checks, and strict radiation protection protocols.
- Patient Care & Positioning: Accurately position patients using custom immobilization devices and specialized techniques (e.g., DIBH, surface-guided radiation therapy/AlignRT).
- Patient Support: Monitor, reassure, and guide patients through their treatment course while documenting and reporting any clinical side-effects to the care team.
- Documentation & Data Management: Maintain precise patient charts, treatment logs, and clinical records using Record & Verify systems.
- Team Collaboration: Partner daily with Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, Nurses, and fellow Therapists to maintain a smooth, safe clinical flow.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Credentials:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- Active ARRT (T) certification (or ARRT-eligible for new graduates).
- Active State Board Licensure (or immediate eligibility to obtain prior to hire).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Open to all experience levels—New Graduates are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Experience or familiarity with Varian technology (TrueBeam, Trilogy, Halcyon, etc.).
- Hands-on familiarity with ARIA or Mosaic Record & Verify systems.
- Strong attention to detail, clinical accuracy, and excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients with physical mobility and positioning safely throughout the shift.
