LHH is working with a tenured client in Houston, TX area who are looking for a Radiation Safety Officer. The is a full time, direct hire role that will require up to 25% travel. Some of the responsibilities and skills needed are below:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the organization's radiation safety program, including the development and implementation of radiation safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, including regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
• Renew and apply for radioactive materials licenses and reciprocity agreements.
• Drives cultural change within the organization and improves performance as it relates to safety and safety culture.
• Consults with operational managers to ensure timely and effective resolution of safety concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety or other technical discipline required.
• 5+ years of experience working in Radiation Safety required.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle
• Must be US Citizen or current GC holder
