AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking an experienced Radiation Oncologist to join their team, primarily covering AdventHealth DeLand with support across East Florida Division (EFD) locations. This full-time clinical role offers a dynamic practice environment in Volusia County, focusing on a broad spectrum of oncology cases. The position emphasizes clinical excellence, innovation, and high patient satisfaction within a collaborative group of over 20 radiation oncologists.
Practice Info
- Primary site: AdventHealth DeLand; coverage may extend to other EFD locations as needed
- Support staff includes experienced radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nurses
- Patient mix includes a broad spectrum of oncology cases, with a strong focus on Head & neck cancers, Breast cancer, Lung cancer, and Prostate cancer
- No brachytherapy procedures performed onsite
- Collaboration with the AdventHealth Cancer Institute
- Opportunities for clinical sub-specialization and multidisciplinary care
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time clinical care as a Radiation Oncologist
- Cover AdventHealth DeLand primarily, with potential support across other East Florida Division (EFD) locations
- Participate in a 6-8 week call rotation, with call coverage assigned on a weekly basis
- Provide after-hours office support during call; no in-hospital rounding is required

Shift & Schedule
- Full-time clinical role

Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology
- Minimum of 2 years post-training experience preferred
- Not open to new fellows or residents
- Eligibility for active Florida medical license
- Team-oriented with a patient-first mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with referring providers
