Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncology physician to join their team in California's Silicon Valley. This role offers the opportunity to work in fully equipped departments in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara, with a new cancer center opening in Santa Clara in 2027. The position is shareholder-track within a physician-led organization that emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and innovation.

Practice Info

  • Work at Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation at Sunnyvale and Santa Clara radiation oncology departments
  • Departments have Varian TrueBeam, TrueBeam STx, and Edge linear accelerator systems with Siemens and GE CT simulators, BrainLab ExacTrac Dynamic, AlignRT, and a dedicated HDR brachytherapy suite with a Varian BRAVOS system
  • Cancer program has numerous accreditations, active participation in clinical trials, and several specialty and sub-specialty multidisciplinary tumor boards
  • New cancer center opening in Santa Clara in 2027, which will include a new Sutter Health hospital and a medical school

Responsibilities

  • Join the department as a shareholder-track physician

Compensation

  • $550,000 /Yr.
  • Shareholders enjoy very competitive, production-based income
  • Relocation allowance

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time preferred, but part-time can be considered based on candidate qualifications

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology
  • Relevant experience in IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS is required
  • Experience with prostate seed brachytherapy and HDR brachytherapy is a plus
