Overview
An engineering organization specializing in radar systems is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to lead technical development and verification efforts across weather radar programs. This role is central to advancing system design, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth through new proposals and team development.
What you'll do
- Apply strong background in weather radar and weather radar data processing
- Create and analyze link budgets
- Perform radar system simulation and analysis
- Develop System Requirements and Subsystem Requirements Flowdown (Hardware, Firmware, Software)
- Maintain Compliance Matrix documentation
- Develop Verification Plans for System and Subsystems
- Conduct Verification Testing
- Develop and maintain schedules, creating workarounds to keep programs on track
- Design Software/Firmware System Architecture, including Block Diagrams and Flow Charts, and verify them
- Stay current on new technology publications and competitor products; author articles promoting company and professional capabilities
- Seek out and submit proposals for new business to grow the R&D base
- Grow the team through new hires, as sales permit, and through proactive mentoring and training
Required qualifications
- Engineering Master's degree with emphasis in remote sensing
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Must work in the office a minimum of 40 hours/5 days per week
- US citizen
