Radar System Engineer (JAT)LOCATION: Huntsville, AlabamaJOB STATUS: Full-timeCLEARANCE: SecretTRAVEL: 25%Astrion is seeking a candidate to provide Radar Systems Engineer support for a government customer in Huntsville, AL.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:Must currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.Must be a US CitizenBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required. Electrical Engineering is preferred.Frequent travel, up to 25%, to contractor and test sites is requiredAbility to develop custom analysis tools for data analysis and data management (experience with development in Python preferred)Knowledge of radar systems is desired, but not requiredStrong communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and government customersAbility to work independently to learn new technologies, processes, programming languagesWork is onsite at the Astrion officeRESPONSIBILITIES:Evaluate the detection, tracking, classification and defeat capabilities of current and future Army Counter-Unmanned Aerial Radar Systems (C-UAS)Collaborate with subject matter experts and OEMs to integrate radar systems into the existing System of Systems (SoS) architecturePerform rapid data analysis in support of system testing at DoD and OEM test rangesCoordinate with team members and U.S. government customers to execute studies, analyze the results, and prepare and present study findings
