/nThe Radiologic Technologist Inpatient performs diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation to support patient care. This role utilizes specialized equipment and clinical judgment to ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team./n
The Radiologic Technologist Inpatient
/n
/n
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment.
/n
- Assesses patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safe and appropriate care.
/n
- Positions patients and operates equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
/n
- Administers contrast media and performs additional procedures as required.
/n
- Monitors patients for adverse reactions and responds appropriately.
/n
- Prepares patients for procedures and provides education regarding imaging processes.
/n
- Documents procedures and maintains accurate patient records in electronic systems.
/n
- Utilizes PACS and electronic medical record systems for image management and workflow.
/n
- Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
/n
- Performs imaging in various settings including Emergency Department, inpatient units, and operating rooms.
/n
- Assists with sterile and interventional procedures as required.
/n
- Maintains competency in required certifications and continuing education.
/n
- Supports training and development of students and staff.
/n
- Maintains a safe environment and adheres to radiation safety standards.
/n
- Participates in on-call, holiday, and rotating shift coverage as required.
/n
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.
/n
What We Require:/n
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
/n
Experience: None.
/n
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: ARRT registry or registry eligible required.
/n
Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
/n
Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage patient flow.
