R&D Programmer/Set-Up MachinistPHB Inc. Machining Division has a current need for an R&D Programmer/Set-Up Machinist. This is a first shift, full-time position with advancement opportunities within the company.Responsibilities:Read and interpret technical blueprints and design modelsPerform complex set-ups including creating CNC Programs, take a part from print to first pieceInput the product design into the computer modeling softwareDecipher CMM Printouts and apply correct adjustments to keep part in specBuild basic fixtures for productionChoose and load the correct cutting tools for the jobAdjust machine settings to desired specificationsSetup work area for efficient material flowConfers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, quality control or others to resolve machining problems and optimize programs and toolingComplete gage room documentation for first piece approvalPossess a complete knowledge of machine tool and control functionsTroubleshoot problems in manufacturingTrain employees to operate CNC equipment and set-up basicsComplete or update setup instructions and/or work instructions, tooling sheets, etc.Requirements:High school diploma or GEDPrevious work experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing settingExperience with Mastercam softwareExperience with Mazak and OkumaAbility to read and interpret design blueprintsExtensive experience with computer modeling softwareStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and stick to a deadlineAbility to work after-hours when requiredPHB, Inc.
