R&D Pilot Plant TechnicianPay Rate: $25/HR Location: 23800 Mercantile Road, Beachwood, OHQualifications:Must have mechanical aptitude and excellent laboratory or pilot plant scale skills, including detailed record keeping and knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and equipmentMust be able to lift and handle up to 40 lbs.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in MS Office software and Lotus Notes requiredResponsibilities:Working in a team environment under minimal daily direct supervision in chemical laboratory and pilot plant. Tasks involve processing and synthesis of chemical catalysts and substances in solid and liquid forms, including autoclave, mixing, heat treating, extruding, pelletizing operations. Organize and store data in electronic databases, including MS products and custom applications.
Work closely with supervisor and team both in the pilot plant and in the lab to provide raw materials, samples, and data. Ability to regularly lift 20kg and work in body and respiratory protection equipment (powered air purifying respirator).
